I also chose to insert some alt text on a Flickr photo for today's activity.

What a beautiful photo!

Alt-text is subjective, so offering your description gives someone something to start with, which is great. If I were using this image in a presentation on "How My Kids are Helping the Monarchs" the alt-text I insert would describe the function - e.g., "A milkweed plant can help the dwindling monarch butterfly population as it is their preferred breeding spot"
