Adapting by Editing and Merging Resources

I teach a course in Technology Project Management. We are looking at replacing our textbook with OER Resources. So far, none that I have looked at seem quite right (for me, anyway).  Many are quite good.  It looks like I will be combining various resources in order to fit the course that I think I should be teaching.

I like to incorporate a certain amount of case study in this course and will be on the lookout for well written cases to support and illustrate the topics being presented.

Keith, I am in a similar situation for some Faculty of Education courses I'm teaching this coming year with the exception that I cannot find anything that already exists, good or bad.

Like you I'm planning on combining various resources, which I've done in the past using a website. I'm thinking of doing something similar this year, possibly with a Pressbook. Do you have any plans on how to put it all together yet?

No specific plans.  I would like to keep it simple.  I have an idea how I would like for the course to be organized.  Perhaps I can find text material on each of those topics and put it all together in Microsoft Word.  I could then distribute it in a variety of ways, including as a downloadable PDF.

My best guess is that it won't be that easy, but we will see.  I have a colleague who is interested in this approach and will be teaching the course in the fall, online.  I teach the course in the spring, on the ground.

Hi Keith there might be some useful parts from the Project Management for Instructional Designers open resource. You can download the parts that are useful and mix and match.

There is also a Canadian textbook (new) on straight up Project Management
