My OEF self-assessment results

I'm not a very open educator yet based on this assessment.

And I find many of the recommendations useful to improve how open I can be in my future teaching. 

Here's a list of development goals for myself:

  • One change I can make in the next week: sharing my notes openly, instead of only to my students by emails
  • One change I can make in the next month: taking the Open learning Design MOOC by JISC
  • One change I can make in the next year: learning about open assessment and incorporate the ideas in my own courses

Great list of changes you can make toward opening up. I still have additional open things I could be doing (and doing more of), it's a great journey.

Thanks for your post. I like that your goals are very concrete and achievable and I'm sure that they will help you progress along the path to being a more open educator. I'm sure that your colleagues and students will appreciate your efforts!

Thank you Maureen! I'm so happy that I've begun this journey. I have really enjoyed every bit of it by now. I'm sure the future is even more exciting!
