On May 18, 2017, Dr. Guy Berthiaume, Librarian and Archivist of Canada, gave a speech on "the first-ever summit on collaboration between galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAMs) took place in an academic institution" in Canada, presented to Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) and Canadian Urban Libraries Council (CULC). He addressed the current situation and Canadian effort in having "responsibility to make sure that both the “powers that be” and the general public understood the important role that GLAMs play in the digital world."
A little bit long as a speech, but worth to read to understand what happen in this field here in Canada.
