MDT work for An OT

As an occupational therapist, working in so social care, I can definitely see from the NICE guidelines the OT input and OT place in MDT working. I suppose keeping up with my tasks without delay such as care coordination and adaptations but also making sure i am involving and updating health, in particular DN, GP, speech and language and feedbacking to them any deterioration i observe. It is also often us or the GP who refer to physio.

A part of it is as well encouraging the client and the family to feedback to the mdt. I suppose as an OT, I do play a key part in coordinating the care. From my end, a lot of the guidelines mention "without delay" and "at the person`s comfort/ psycological state" etc, but when it comes to adaptation if future needs are not discussed very promptly, adaptations may get delayed.
