A critical look at the NICE guideline on MND

Purpose

This activity will help you critically reflect on how closely MDT practice aligns with recommendations within NICE guideline NG42.

Task

Review recommendations 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 within NICE guideline NG42 and reflect on the following questions:

  • How accurately do these recommendations reflect your experiences of working within an MDT?
  • How well do they capture the essential functions of multidisciplinary working?
  • What do you consider to be the greatest challenges of applying the MDT approach in MND care?

Write a discussion post of approximately 300 to 400 words summarising your reflections and experiences.

Please do not identify your workplace, team or colleagues within your response.

Once you have added your post, read other learners’ contributions and comment on one or two discussions.
