Instructions

Listening to people living with MND

Purpose

This activity will help you explore what people living with MND value most from their MDT and reflect on how care experiences can be improved.

Task

Watch the following videos and make notes about what each person says regarding their experiences of care and support.

Reflect on the themes raised within the videos, your own experiences of practice, and your understanding of person centred MDT working.

Consider questions such as:

  • What aspects of care appeared most meaningful to the people featured?
  • What helped them feel supported, listened to or involved?
  • How could the patient experience be improved further?

Write a reflection of approximately 400 to 500 words and post your response as a new discussion thread below.

Once you have posted your reflection, read and compare your thoughts with those shared by other learners.
