Course learning outcomes
After studying this course, you should be able to:
explain the nature and extent of the carbon footprints of individuals and households within the national and global economy
assess individual carbon footprints using a carbon calculator
understand the main components of the carbon footprint of individuals and households, and the most effective actions for reducing the footprint
explore options for reducing the carbon footprint.
This is an excellent introductory course for appreciating both individual as well as broader societal contributions to carbon emmissions. The task with calculating your own estimated footprint is highly useful for developing your own awareness, and also for helping educate about areas for improvement and wider considerations around managing emmissions. Overall an excellent course, and personally I got a very great deal out of working through it.
