[MUSIC PLAYING] ANEETA: Hello, again. Well done for getting through half of this course. I hope you've been enjoying it so far. The first few weeks of this course has given you a good basis to understand that safeguarding people can be quite complex.
So far, you have learned about definitions and terminology, the safeguarding cycle and the safeguarding framework, how to identify harm and abuse, international safeguarding standards, how to use safeguarding tools, such as risk assessments and
checklists, how to recruit safely and develop your code of conduct. In the next few weeks, you'll be learning about how to support people to come forward to report their safeguarding concerns, respond when reports are made and ensure that survivors
feel safe, develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures, and learn from managing concerns and making improvements. Over the next few weeks, you'll be hearing from safeguarding leads who are working in field sites just like you. You
will hear their experiences of safeguarding and how they have tackled similar challenges to you. You will continue to work through case studies, in your learning journal, and test your understanding through quizzes at the end. And of course, there
is the forum. Do have a look and join in. There are some really interesting discussions happening on there. I hope you enjoy the next few weeks of the course. It's a challenging journey, but well worth it. See you at the end. [MUSIC PLAYING]
Congratulations on getting halfway through the course.
Watch the video above to review what you’ve learnt so far and find out what you will learn in the second part of this course. Remember there are no forums on this course as indicated in the video, but some of the discussions and learning from those facilitated forums have been integrated into this version of the course through activities and enhanced teaching content.
