Hi everyone,
I had so many thoughts running through my head with this task. It was hard to narrow it down. I've learned so much over the last couple of years about e-learning, distance learning, MOOCs, the list goes on.
This is the second MOOC I have been involved in. It's very organized and I'm enjoying the content very much. I pointed out in the attached Keynote, that I've learned about teacher presence in a community of inquiry, I'm feeling like "teacher presence" is strong in this course, which for me as a learner keeps me engaged and alert.
I learned about the CoI as a first assignment in my doctoral studies. As group of learners who knew nothing about each other, we were assigned to create a presentation on the role of distance in higher education. This journey of learning has surely shown me what I didn't know I didn't know.

Hi Ruth, I love the CoI model. I was grateful for the opportunity to complete my Masters of Ed at Athabasca and take a course with Terry Anderson. He's a wonderful walking history book of Distance Education theory and practice. I'm also very lucky to have him as my external committee member for my doctoral work. In my mind, the avoidance of reinventing the wheel with eLearning and open learning rests with understanding human learning theory generally, and Distance Ed specifically.
I converted your Keynote to PPT here as well just in case there's a group need for it. Thank you for sharing!
