Getting acquainted

This activity is an opportunity to get to know other learners in a virtual environment. It will also help you become familiar with contributing to the discussion board and responding to other people’s posts.

Discussion guidelines

  • Respect the views and experiences of others.
  • Critique contributions in a constructive and supportive way.
  • Do not use abusive or offensive language.
  • Communicate as clearly as possible.
  • Avoid unnecessary jargon or abbreviations that others may not understand.

Please do not include the names of service users or specific services, as confidentiality must always be maintained.

Your task

Tell us a little about yourself, where you are from, the setting you work in, and your professional background.

Please click on the discussion board link below. In the Subject field, include your professional area of expertise and a general geographic location. For example:

  • Dietitian from County Antrim
  • SLT from North West England

This will help other learners identify colleagues with relevant experience and interests.

Select “Start new discussion” to begin. Once you have posted your introduction, respond to at least one other learner’s post.
