Summary

Sharing photographs taken as part of In-the-Picture is important because it can add to our understanding of the child’s perspective. However sharing will depend on the interest the child shows in the photographs and their willingness to look at them with you. Providing the opportunity to share rather than making any assumptions about the child’s likely engagement is key. Practitioners have reported often being surprised by children’s reactions and that their expectations have been shifted.
