8.2.2 Reflective Break and Comprehension Check
Reflective Break
In Friendly Spy, groups share ideas with other groups, but some people might worry that giving ideas to others means that the others will win and the givers of the information will lose. How can we change this view from competitive to collaborative?
Sample Response
We have to convince students that “Those who teach learn twice,” and that if we help others, others will be more likely to help us. One way to convince students is to tell stories from our own life experiences. For example, I like to write, and when I help others with their writing, it helps me to clarify my own work.
Comprehension Check
Without looking at the text, what are the four steps of Friendly Spy? Check your answer with others or with our course materials. The exact wording is not important as long as you know the general idea.
