1.1. One Step at a Time: Let's Start With You!
Congratulations on finding your way to this course!
This shows that you care about your teaching and want to grow. Despite barriers to technology in education in Uganda, many of you are already doing great work —trying new teaching methods, using a phone, a projector, or simple digital quizzes, and supporting fellow teachers. Others are just starting their digital journey.
This course is designed for educators like you who are curious, creative, and committed to growing in their digital teaching journey—step by step. You do not need to know everything. You just need to be willing to try and share your expertise with others. We will:
-
Celebrate what you are already doing in your classroom
-
Learn in small, practical steps—no rush, no pressure
-
Use simple, available tools that fit your context
-
Get inspired by other teachers and practices
PRACTICE & REFLECT
To help you apply new insights and (digital) skills in your classroom, each section includes Practice and Reflect exercises. These follow the principles of adult learning called andragogy, meaning they are practical, relevant, and based on your own experiences. We invite you to write one post per section by answering reflective questions or sharing experiences from a practical exercise.
