Electronics is fundamental to modern life. Using an interactive website, videos, and easy-to-use electronic circuit design and simulation software, this free course, An introduction to electronics, will show how electronic devices and systems pervade everything we do, and teach some of the basic ideas.
Course learning outcomes
After studying this course, you should be able to:
recognise a variety of exciting high-tech products and systems enabled by electronics
manipulate voltages, currents and resistances in electronic circuits
demonstrate familiarity with basic electronic components and use them to design simple electronic circuits
see how signals can be represented in the time and frequency domains for Fourier analysis
record, analyse and filter audio signals to improve their fidelity.
This is an extremely well-made course to start with electronics. It is fantastic! the interactive sections are indeed the equivalent of going to a lab as part of the course to analyze and build a good understanding of electronic waves using sound waves from with a mic and pre recorded sounds. THANK YOU for your commitment to educating the community I'm so thankful, and I hope The Open University will deliver more courses like this one in the near future!
