Features

  • Credit must be given to the creator
  • The licence allows re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, even for commercial or non-commercial purposes. 
  • When modifying the material, the user must maintain an indication of previous modifications. For instance, provide the title of the work followed by the name of the original author, and include hyperlinks to the source as well as the licence. Additionally, clearly state if the material has been edited, adapted, or built upon in any way.
  • There is a requirement that you must license the material you remix, edit, and redistribute under identical terms. This means that if the original material you used had a CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, your revised version must also carry the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence.

Example 1

Ali has remixed content from a book by Munir Moosa Sadruddin titled ‘Healing Souls’, which was published under CC BY SA 4.0. After adaptation, Ali must publish the revised resource under the same CC BY SA 4.0 licence.
