1 What is holistic therapy

View

We're going to look at holistic health and holistic perspectives, holistic approaches to therapy. Similarities and differences between holistic therapy and alternative and complementary therapy. I would also like to introduce the combination of Chinese and Western medicine and homeopathy. We'll look at the definition of health. Which dimensions does it consist of? That's what we're going to learn.

What does overall health mean?

Holistic approaches not only look at the disease, the injury problem, but they look at the whole person -- the mind, the body, the spirit, it takes the whole into account in a way of recovery.

The idea of considering all the elements of a person and promoting optimum health comes from holism. Holism is a philosophical attitude aimed at promoting ultimate health.

Holistic therapy works in conjunction with traditional medicine, combining various forms of therapy to achieve its purpose.

Holistic therapy is a treatment option based on the following principles:

One part of a person is out of balance, and this causes the whole system to become out of balance.

If only some of them are treated, people will not be able to achieve full recovery because the rest of them will be neglected.

Historical development

The history of holistic healing can be traced back 5,000 years to India and China.Originated from its therapeutic concept of living in harmony with nature.

The term "holism" was first coined in 1926 by Jan Christian Smertke, a famous South African statesman and author of the philosophical work Holism and Evolution, a study of the creative power of nature. There is the theory that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

With the emergence and progress of modern Western medicine, people's interest in medical treatment is increasing day by day, and holistic therapy gradually takes a back seat. However, it is clear that modern medicine cannot cure everything, that conventional treatment does not produce a good cure for many chronic diseases, and that some modern treatments actually do more harm than good

So holistic therapies are becoming a more attractive option and, in some cases, are taking over from modern medicine.

So how does holistic therapy work?

Holistic therapy explores the whole person, looking for the underlying cause of the disease, and then selecting the appropriate treatment in the treatment plan to address it.

The client will receive a complete evaluation from the doctor, including an in-depth understanding of their experience, lifestyle, thoughts and feelings.Provide treatment options according to different characteristics.

Holistic therapists also work to help clients heal themselves. And they do this in a lot of different ways,

Such as:

Education in changing customer lifestyle and self-care

Different treatments and treatment regimens

Exercise and diet changes

Spiritual guidance

Mental health and relationship help

These e are used to explore the customer's life to eliminate causes and potential problems.

There are many benefits that can be gained from holistic treatment, including:

Effective but non-invasive, natural alternative therapies ensure that the risk of injury is reduced as much as possible

They can be seen as a person rather than a disease

Overall treatment has the advantage of complete health through a variety of most suitable treatment options

All treatment programs involve the mind, body and spirit of the patient to heal the whole person.
