Raising concerns about local, national and global issues

People often engage with others when they want to resolve a local issue or find solution to some problem that affects them and their neighbourhood – for instance, road safety or littering.

There may be others who, like you, are concerned about a wider national problem – for example, access to dental services or affordable housing.

You may come across people who care about global challenges that you also feel passionate about – like addressing the impact of climate change or supporting refugees.

To address these different problems may require different ways of engaging with others and voicing concerns.

This section outlines how you might go about connecting with others and finding a solution, with example scenarios of issues at the local, national and global level.
