1. You could start by reaching out to a local environmental group to learn more and meet others with similar concerns. It may be that this issue will overlap with local concerns about flooding or climate change in a global sense.
2. You could connect with a local climate activist. Though they may be focusing on local issues, you might explore joint action.  Keep in mind people will have different priorities and consider your key messages.
3. Could you attend a climate rally that pressures the UK government or international bodies to act on climate change?
4. Could you organise a local awareness campaign and fundraise to support environmental organisations in your home country?
5. Writing to your MP might help push for action.
6. Sharing your story with a journalist or on social media could raise awareness of how climate change affects your country of origin.
7. If you have limited time, you might focus on one small action, like signing a petition.
