Exercise: Responding to a local consultation

Be Heard in Birmingham consultation website

‘Be Heard’ is a consultation website of Birmingham City Council which allows residents to take part in public consultations, surveys and conversations. Residents can contribute their views online to shape their community and find out about decisions that have been made. Consultations on different topics, such as improvements to local parks or roads, are published on the portal and everyone can respond. Personal details such as name or email address are mandatory.

Example consultation: Take a look at the Cannon Hill Park Improvements - Southern Play area consultation on this webpage

Exercise: Look through the consultations on the Birmingham Be Heard website. Are there any consultations on issues in your local area? What are your views on the proposed changes? Are there any consultations on issues you are concerned about?
