3.3.8. Monitoring Safeguarding Actions

View

To build an inclusive monitoring and evaluation system in the institution, safeguarding needs to be integrated into the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes. Some of the strategies that can be used to design an inclusive monitoring and evaluation system are:

  1. Define indicators and data collection approaches that are inclusive;
  2. Collect disaggregated monitoring data;
  3. Seek feedback from beneficiaries by establishing local feedback mechanisms and acting on the feedback shared;
  4. Encourage the participation of all stakeholders in the end-to-end processes;
  5. Incorporate safeguarding and inclusion considerations throughout the cycle e.g. in baseline, evaluation and in reporting processes, and;
  6. Uphold safeguarding and ethical standards in research.
