Economic Inclusion ensures equitable access to economic opportunities in one’s community, including as employers, employees, consumers and citizens. The word “equitable” will be discussed ahead in this session, so please remember that the definition of economic inclusion intentionally uses the word equitable, vs. “equal”.

Economic Inclusion projects intervene both at individual and systems level to remove barriers or obstacles to enable vulnerable people to improve their standard of living and well-being.

Some of the projects that can support Economic Inclusion include:

  • Skills development for employability;
  • Access to services and social protection, and;
  • Access to waged and/or self-employment.
