The module will focus on how  TVET/HE institutions can  join efforts with Organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) (and where relevant, civil society organisations)  to address the challenges that learners with disabilities are facing in joining the labour market.

The module covers the following areas: 

  • Advocacy and Influencing for Equitable Access to Work; 
  • Organisations of Persons with Disabilities(OPDs);
  • Partnering with OPDs;
  • Building an advocacy & influencing strategy;
  • Identifying and defining the problem;
  • Identifying and prioritising advocacy targets; 
  • Establishing partnerships;
  • Effective advocacy strategies; 
  • Building an advocacy and influencing plan, and;
  • Monitoring & Evaluation of advocacy & influencing work.
