Learning Outcomes

This course consists of three inter-related modules, namely:

  1. Economic Inclusion
  2. Gender Equality & Social Inclusion
  3. Safeguarding

As a result of studying this course, you should be able to:

  • Outline the importance of Economic Inclusion 
  • Implement policies and practices that promote economic inclusion of women, youth and persons with disabilities among employers, TVET and Higher Education(HE) institutions
  • Outline barriers and solutions to Economic Inclusion, especially in relation to women, youth and persons with disabilities
  • Correctly apply GESI terminologies in the learning and/or working environment
  • Observe necessary GESI legislation in the learning and/or working environment
  • Participate in mainstreaming of GESI in TVET and/or HE and working organizations
  • Ensure pedagogy and programming in TVET and/or HE is responsive to gender, disability and youth
  • Plan and carry out GESI Institutional Assessment
  • Summarise safeguarding concepts, principles & practices
  • Develop safeguarding-related policies and legislation applicable to learning environments
  • Prevent harm in a learning and/or work environment, and;
  • Appropriately report and/or respond to safeguarding concerns
