Everyone has a role to play in advancing gender and social inclusion within an organization. To achieve gender and social inclusion, organisations may require to make organizational changes.

There are many different approaches to measuring inclusion and achieving organisational change. One of the frameworks for measuring organisational change created by Holvino focuses on structural change, cultural change and behavioural change.

  • Structural Changes: Structural Change interventions focus on “formal” systems that guide and control the organisation, which includes policies, practices, and structures that support or hinder diversity goals.
  • Cultural Change Interventions: Concerns changes in assumptions, values, beliefs and ideologies that define an organisation’s view of itself, its effectiveness and its environment;
  • Behavioural Change Interventions: These interventions seek changes in Behaviours, Attitudes and Perceptions within and between individuals, and within and between work groups that support or hinder diversity goals.
