Introduction to the course
Welcome to Skills for Prosperity: Safeguarding, Economic Inclusion and Gender Equality & Social Inclusion course!
Overview
The Skills for Prosperity: Safeguarding, Economic Inclusion and Gender Equality & Social Inclusion course has been developed as a part of the Skills for Prosperity Kenya (SFPK) programme by Leonard Cheshire in collaboration with Kenya Ministry of Education - State Department for University Education and Research, and The Open University. This programme is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) with the overall aim of improving the quality, relevance, and equity of higher education (HE) and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Kenya.
This course is designed for trainers (ToTs) in Higher Education(HE) and TVET institutions. In this course, you will be introduced to principles of safeguarding, economic inclusion, gender equality and social inclusion, with a focus on women, youth and persons with disabilities in Kenya.
Completing each module of the course will give you the opportunity to earn a digital badge. Completing all three modules will enable you to earn a certificate of completion. Badges are not accredited by The Open University, but they are a great way to demonstrate your interest in the subject and commitment to your career, as well as providing evidence of continuing professional development.
